Dr Susannah Rowles has been appointed as ABCD Honorary General Secretary following the resignation of Dr Russell Drummond.  Susannah was appointed unopposed following a call to the membership for applications.

Commenting on her appointment Susannah said, "I am delighted to take up the gauntlet from Russell Drummond, as Honorary Secretary for ABCD supporting our Chairman, Dinesh.

Following the recent resignation of Dr Russell Drummond as General Secretary of ABCD (Diabetes Care) Ltd, we are now seeking nominations and inviting applications from members to stand for election.

What’s involved?

The committee, as the main standing management group of ABCD, is the main driving force and focal point of the organisation, responsible for advising on, developing and implementing all the activities of the charity.

We wish to thank all those who worked so hard to submit data in time for our first deadline, and we are pleased to inform you that we had 216 users from 127 sites in 100 centres contributing data on 2869 patients. Analyses are now being undertaken for abstract submission to the American Diabetes Association Annual Professional Conference – abstract deadline 7^th January 2019.
