I am delighted to announce that Dr Robert Gregory, Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Leicester Royal Infirmary, has been unanimously chosen to represent the three societies on the RCP council.  Dr Gregory takes over from Prof John Wilding of Liverpool and I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Prof Wilding for this important role over the last 3 years, on behalf of the ABCD, DUK and SfE.  Congratulations to Dr Gregory for accepting this role and best wishes for future.

Today we have launched our new, annual census of consultants in diabetes and endocrinology. This is being done instead of the previous paper survey you had received and is sent on behalf of ABCD; SfE; Diabetes UK - and in conjunction with The Royal College of Physicians London who are project managing this census.

We recently worked with Mediaplanet UK on the 2018 Understanding Diabetes Campaign. A printed publication was enclosed within every copy of The Guardian newspaper and the content available online also at http://www.diabetesadvice.co.uk/
